VIRION at Madrid Science and Innovation Week: Showcasing Virtual Reality in Education

This past Tuesday, 12th November, the VIRION participated in the Madrid Science and Innovation Week, an event organized by the Community of Madrid through the madri+d Foundation for Knowledge. This annual event is dedicated to scientific dissemination and citizen engagement, aiming to actively involve society in research and development processes across science, technology, and innovation.

Our workshop focused on how Virtual Reality can enhance STEM education. Attendees, including educators, students, and members of the public, had the chance to experience the VIRION applications firsthand. Guided by our team from URJC, participants explored how VR can transform STEM learning by making abstract concepts more tangible and engaging.

This session was an excellent opportunity to showcase the potential of the VIRION project while contributing to the broader goals of Madrid Science and Innovation Week—connecting the public with cutting-edge developments in science and technology. The positive feedback and interest we received reaffirm the importance of integrating innovative tools like Virtual Reality into education.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this event and to the organizers for creating a platform that bridges the gap between science and society.
