Our team from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC, Spain) has contributed to the book Educommunication and Social Transformation with a chapter focused on VIRION project. The book, which features contributions from numerous researchers and edtech experts, explores the interaction between AI and education through case studies, literature reviews, and critical analyses.
The chapter on VIRION specifically addresses the various ways AI can be implemented across different levels and areas of the education system, highlighting how these innovations are transforming the educational landscape. In addition to outlining the key aspects of the project, the URJC team presents data demonstrating how, in the wake of the pandemic, the STEM skills of many students have been impacted, underscoring the need to explore and develop new ways to improve them. In this context, they explain how VIRION can help address this demand innovatively through virtual reality (VR).
